Tom & Jillie: Their Dark Secrets
From the outside, Tom and Jillie were the perfect couple.
They lived in a quiet house at the edge of town, smiled at neighbors, and hosted cheerful summer barbecues. People admired them. Some even envied them.
But every night, after the lights of the town faded and the roads fell silent, strange sounds echoed from their basement.
Tom kept a locked journal hidden beneath a loose floorboard. Its pages contained names, dates, and sketches of faces no one in town recognized. Every entry ended with the same chilling sentence:
“They must never remember.”
Jillie had secrets of her own.
Behind an old wardrobe in their bedroom was a narrow door leading to a hidden room. Inside stood hundreds of photographs. Some were decades old. Others were taken only days before. In every picture, Tom and Jillie looked exactly the same—unchanged by time.
One stormy evening, a curious neighbor named Sarah followed a faint light coming from their basement window. She expected to find an ordinary explanation.
Instead, she found a room filled with clocks.
Thousands of clocks.
Each one ticking at a different speed.
At the center stood Tom and Jillie, surrounded by photographs stretching back more than a century.
“You weren’t supposed to see this,” Tom said softly.
Sarah stared at a photograph dated 1892. The couple in it were unmistakably Tom and Jillie.
“But that’s impossible,” she whispered.
Jillie smiled sadly.
“It should be.”
The clocks suddenly stopped.
Silence filled the room.
And the next morning, Sarah woke in her own bed with no memory of the night before.
The townspeople never questioned why Tom and Jillie never seemed to age.
After all, some secrets are buried for a reason.
